Sitting out the stoppages

We've been near the bottom of Audlem for a week now.  Mum drove me to Hack Green to meet up with Dave and the boat, after I had been back to work for the last weekend to pack up.  Dave had continued on his own in order to get through the proposed stoppage near Nantwich.  We are now hovering around Audlem until the Adderley stoppage is lifted hopefully on Friday 13th.  We can then continue on our way to Birmingham, hopefully in time for a concert we've got tickets for on the following Wednesday.  We have moved this week - 2 miles!  So we've had a very quiet week pottering around, not doing very much - apart from me rag rugging, as I've got another commission to finish.  We're in a great spot here, still with views of the countryside, but within walking distance of Audlem, so Dave can reacquaint himself with the Lord Combermere (the pub - not the person).  So this week we have been mainly watching the bird life .....

Starlings ... loads of them!

These aren't leaves on the trees - they're starlings
Buzzard

There's loads of Canada geese here - with the odd interloper amongst them

Can you tell what it is yet.....

Heron up a tree.

We're going to have to move today as we've got a Tesco order being delivered to the Shroppie Fly.
