Audlem & the tarted up Shroppie Fly

The Shroppie Fly has been completely gutted and refurbished at a reputed cost of £225,000.  It looks wonderful. Unfortunately, due to the reputation it gained as a den for 'ne'er do wells' for the last couple of years, it was completely empty apart from us.  I do hope the enthusiasm of the new Landlady pays off, and the punters return sometime soon.

They've retained the old bow-of-a-boat bar, but you'd hardly recognise the place inside...

The inside looks fantastic.  Stone flooring - so no more sticking to the carpet - to emphasise that it's dog friendly.

Who's that?!?

So, after two weeks of waiting at the bottom of Audlem, we moved off on the Friday, in the hope that Adderley locks would be open by the time we got up there.  Thankfully they were, so we could continue on our way to Birmingham, as we had tickets for a concert.  No - not JLS - but Cerys Mathews in the Town Hall (Dave's favourite).
