Will have to use boat yards for diesel, but we just liked to give our custom to a boat operator if possible. Don't like using Trinity as they were VERY anti-coal/diesel boats! Thanks again. Whilst in the Plough at Huddlesford (on the Coventry Canal near Lichfield) last night, I noticed they were burning peat on their open fire. The supplier delivers coal, peat and diesel by boat and road to boaters, and had left a leaflet. I can advise the contact details as follows:
www.peatanddiesel.co.uk Tel Chris 07921 694287 or 07902 851914, or Wharf Office 01543 414808.
That is the interesting bit, because it is the Streethay Wharf telephone number! They may be using a boat named Merchant. Ian.
PS the pub recommended the peat as it lasted longer than coal and was cleaner, but I don't know how it would be in a multi-fuel stove.Iannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846790188140768091.post-51422877202203033142012-11-15T12:30:45.158+00:002012-11-15T12:30:45.158+00:00Unfortunately the simple answer is no. There is a ...Unfortunately the simple answer is no. There is a coal yard at Atherstone and there is the boat yard at Nuneaton. You could also try at Trinity Marina Hinckley if you are not in a hurry.
Maffihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03421290414058624906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7846790188140768091.post-8535948662945541712012-11-15T12:30:16.722+00:002012-11-15T12:30:16.722+00:00Not sure who is doing a long there now, but this s...Not sure who is doing a long there now, but this site may help.

http://www.lock13.co.uk/boats/coaldiesel.htm

Jo xJo Lodgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13598518708069192353noreply@blogger.com
